A great start for Kindergarten 2024

Our ‘Beginning to Belonging’ program for Kindergarten 2024 took off on Thursday 26 October as Year 6 students warmly greeted the incoming Kindergarten class at the school gates, creating a promising start for their educational journey.

This program helps our young Kindergarteners adapt to the school’s daily routines while they build friendships with future classmates. An information session offered parents and caregivers valuable insights into school operations, curriculum, while fostering connections among parents to initiate a strong sense of community.

Children and adults stand and walk up steps inside a school building; pupils in uniforms guide children and parents. The busy scene, with indoor lighting and colourful walls, marks a great start for Reception 2024.

‘Beginning to Belonging’ centres on nurturing belonging and inclusion within our school community, ensuring our youngest students feel secure and excited about their educational journey. Guided by Year 6 students, our future Kindergarteners got their first taste of school life by visiting Kindergarten classrooms, meeting with teachers and fellow classmates.

The ‘Beginning to Belonging’ program includes two more sessions aimed at easing the transition for incoming students while building excitement for the coming year.

We look forward to welcoming our new Kindergarten students to School in 2024.
