While students and staff enjoyed a well earned break, our campus was industriously transformed.
With enormous thanks to our tireless Facilities Team led by Pramod Mainali, a remarkable program of works unfolded behind the scenes to better support learning across the School.
A bespoke new Textiles Room for Art and Design now stands ready, thoughtfully designed in collaboration with Ms Sandra Veljanovski Head of Design and Art. Purpose built to house machines, working tables, a safely housed dress mirror, ironing stations, display boards and dedicated textile storage, the space invites creativity and hands on exploration.
Three additional classrooms have been created and 315 pieces of new furniture installed for the Senior School. The Music Department now benefits from improved acoustics, the Gym has new flooring and equipment, Aunty Bianca artwork is celebrated on the Koori Club windows and the School Hall has enjoyed a welcome facelift. Important waterproofing works were also completed to protect and preserve our facilities.

Students will enjoy new and vivid softfall on the Level 4 sundeck, protected by new automated sunshades. On the East Roof, our OSHC Team’s request for Handball Courts has come to life on the renewed basketball surface.
Our Early Learning team returned to upgraded change facilities and new doors designed with care for our youngest learners. What a bright start to the year.
These works are made possible by the quiet generosity of IGS families who consistently include the voluntary Building Fund contribution with their school fees. We extend our warm thanks to each of you.
