About the role
International Grammar School is a leader in educational innovation. Located in the Sydney’s Ultimo Precinct we are surrounded by the largest concentration of creative and digital businesses and technology start-ups in the country. We are equipping our students to be world ready with the skills to engage with technologies and occupations that don’t yet exist. As a creative subject we believe Visual Arts is a powerful subject for teaching the creative skills needed for success in the 21st century.
This is a full-time, ongoing position to commence at the start of Term 1 2019. The position will include Visual Arts classes from Stage 4 to Stage 6.
About the right candidate
This role calls for a dynamic and inspirational educator with extensive experience and a record of success in art education. Applicants will have a love of teaching, past HSC experience and a deep knowledge and understanding of the NSW curriculum.
Skills in photography and digital media and a demonstrated capacity to integrate literacy and visual arts pedagogy are essential to this role. Extensive skills in integrating technology into art education are also critical to the role.
Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and be eligible for accreditation with NESA. Please ensure that your application includes details of both your WWC check and NESA accreditation details.
