Spanish Teacher

Role Description

International Grammar School is a leader in Language education. The learning of Languages is at the centre of an IGS education. Our Primary students are provided with a partial immersion program, while in the High School, Languages are a core component of all students’ study programs to at least Year 10.

This full time ongoing position calls for a dynamic and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join our team from Term 2. This role will involve teaching Spanish to High School students from Years 7 to 12.

Essential Skills

This role calls for an outstanding teacher with highly developed skills in Language teaching and an ability to inspire passion in their students.

The successful applicant will be fluent in Spanish and have a strong understanding of Spanish cultures. They will have an ability to work with others on collaborative projects as well as to show initiative with their programs and lessons. They will have well developed competencies in ICT.

Past experience in teaching Spanish to HSC level is highly desirable but not essential.

A thorough understanding of the NSW Spanish curriculum is essential to this role.

Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible to hold accreditation with NESA (formally BOSTES).
