Role Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for language teachers seeking to grow their career in one of the leading language schools in the country. The learning of languages is at the centre of an IGS education. Our Primary students are provided with a partial immersion program, and whilst in High School, languages are a core component of all students’ study programs to at least Year 10.
This part-time temporary position calls for a dynamic and enthusiastic Spanish and French teacher. The teaching load for the role will have a focus on High School classes, with a possibility of a minor Primary allocation.
The role will be carried out from the initial appointment to 5 December 2018, replacing a staff member who has been promoted internally. The teaching load for this position will be between 0.4 and 0.5 of a full time equivalent. The final teaching load will be determined in consultation with the successful candidate.

About the successful applicant
IGS is seeking an outstanding teacher with a passion for teaching languages and inspiring students with a love of Spanish and French language and culture.
The successful applicant will ideally commence as soon as possible, be fluent in both Spanish and French, and have a strong understanding of both cultures. They will have an ability to work with others on collaborative projects as well as to show initiative with their programs and lessons. They will have well developed competencies in ICT.
A thorough understanding of the NSW Spanish and French curricula is essential to this role. The ability to teach a third language is beneficial but not essential.
