Role Description
The IGS Primary Department is a leader in innovative and dynamic learning. We have a multicultural staff and student body with a focus on global learning and linkages. All primary students undertake a considerable portion of their learning in a language other than English, however, this role does not require language instruction.
We are seeking an outstanding primary teacher to join our dynamic and vibrant Primary School for Term 2 2018, teaching Stage 3. This position is a fixed term contract, replacing a staff member on leave.
Essential Skills
The successful applicant will be a passionate teacher with strong communication skills. They will be able to inspire in their students a love of learning and show care and compassion in their dealings with children.
Outstanding candidates will have an ability to work with others on collaborative projects as well as to show initiative with their programs and lessons. They will have well developed competencies in ICT and its use in authentic and meaningful learning experiences. A thorough knowledge of the NSW primary curriculum is an important element of this role.
Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold accreditation with NESA (formally the BOTSES). Please ensure details are provided with your application.
