International Grammar School (IGS) is a secular, co-educational school near Sydney CBD, serving Preschool to Year 12 in a unique multilingual environment.
IGS has a rich performing arts program and many students join our co-curricular music ensembles. Music classes begin in Preschool, and we aim to provide students with a high quality music education in a joyous, energetic and creative environment.
Role description
This temporary position calls for an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our high performing and dynamic Music Department. This role, replacing a staff member on leave, will commence in Term 3 2019 in a full-time capacity, and continue part time in Term 4 2019 (three to four days a week), teaching Early Learning, Primary and High School classes and ensembles.
The right candidate
Candidates for this role must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the NSW Music Curriculum and demonstrate an ability to inspire in their students a love of music. Past experience in teaching primary aged children is highly desirable, as is experience in teaching Music through the Orff methodology.
