International Grammar School (IGS) is a vibrant and dynamic School located in the heart of Sydney’s educational and technology precinct. The School has a current enrolment of 1250 students in a multi building campus.
IGS has a rich performing arts program and many students join our co-curricular music ensembles. With music classes beginning in Preschool, our aim is to provide students with a high quality music education in an energetic and creative environment.
Role Description
This part time temporary position calls for an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our high performing and dynamic Music Department. This role is to replace a staff member on leave and will commence in Term 1 2019 and conclude at the end of Term 3 2019. This is a 3 day a week role working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. The teaching load will incorporate a combination of High School and Primary classes and ensembles.
The Right Candidate
Candidates for this role must hold accreditation with NESA and have a strong knowledge and understanding of the NSW Music Curriculum. They will be a passionate music educator with an ability to inspire in their students a love of music. Past experience in teaching primary aged children is highly desirable as is experience in teaching Music through the Orff methodology.
