International Grammar School (IGS) is a vibrant and dynamic school located in the heart of Sydney’s educational and technology precinct. The School has a current enrolment of 1,250 students on a multi-building campus.
At IGS, we recognise that Mathematics is an essential skill for the workforce of the future. Our innovative Mathematics program seeks to inspire students and enrich their mathematical skills.
We are seeking an outstanding teacher to join our highly successful Mathematics Department. This role is a full time position for Term 1 2019, replacing a staff member on leave.
Essential Skills
The successful applicant will be a passionate teacher with a thorough understanding of the NSW syllabus documents. They will have a passion for mathematics and demonstrated skills in creating and delivering inspiring and stimulating lessons.
They will have highly developed teaching skills with demonstrated strengths in classroom practice, including the use of ICT. They will also have strong written and verbal communication skills. A capacity to work collaboratively with other staff members to develop meaningful and stimulating lessons and programs is critical.
Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA (formerly BOSTES). Please ensure that your application includes details of both your WWC check and NESA accreditation.
