International Grammar School is a secular coeducational school located across five sites in Ultimo and Glebe. We educate 1280 preschool to Year 12 students in a unique multilingual environment.
IGS has a rich performing arts program and many students join our co-curricular music ensembles. With music classes beginning in Preschool, our aim is to provide students with a high quality music education in an energetic and creative environment.
We are seeking to appoint an exemplary Head of Large Ensembles for 2020, replacing a staff member on leave.
Creative, energetic, experienced and well organised, and with a deep knowledge of Orff pedagogy, the Head will value partnerships with parents, staff and continue to pioneer enriching educational experiences for students across the Primary and High School. The successful applicant will conduct Bay Street Band, Symphonic Winds and Wind Orchestra in 2020.
With proven conducting experience, you will be an exemplary role model of professionalism and collegiality, performing your role with integrity, enthusiasm and energy.
