About the role
International Grammar School (IGS) is a secular, co-educational school near Sydney CBD, serving Preschool to Year 12 in a unique multilingual environment. The learning of languages is at the centre of an IGS education.
IGS is seeking an outstanding German language teacher for Kindergarten to Year 10 students, in our Global Learning Centre for teaching and learning of languages, to join our dynamic and vibrant Languages department from Term 3 (negotiable).
Essential skills
This role calls for a caring, compassionate, enthusiastic teacher with a passion for the German language and culture and the ability to inspire their students with a love of learning.
Outstanding candidates will be collaborative, show initiative, be fluent in German, and have a strong understanding of German culture. A knowledge of the new Kindergarten to Year 10 German Syllabus, and well-developed skills using ICT for authentic and meaningful learning experiences are important, while the ability to teach an additional language is desirable.
