French Teacher

Role Description

International Grammar School is a leader in Language education. The learning of Languages is at the centre of an IGS education. Our Primary students are provided with a partial immersion program, while in the High School, Languages are a core component of all students’ study programs to at least Year 10.

This full-time ongoing position calls for a dynamic and enthusiastic French Teacher. The teaching load for the role will have a focus on High School classes with a small amount of upper Primary lessons.

The position will include Stage 6 French classes, and is to commence from Term 2 2018.

Essential Skills

This role calls for a passionate teacher with strong communication skills who has a thorough understanding of HSC level French.

The successful applicant will be fluent in French and have a strong understanding of French culture. They will have an ability to work with others on collaborative projects and will show initiative with their programs and lessons. They will also have well developed competencies in ICT.

A clear understanding of the NSW French curriculum is essential to this role.

Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA (formerly BOSTES). Please ensure that your application includes details of both your WWC check and NESA accreditation.
