French Teacher (Primary)

Role Description

International Grammar School is a leader in Language education. The learning of Languages is at the centre of an IGS education, promoting significant cognitive benefits and a natural acceptance of difference.

Our Primary students are provided with a partial immersion program, and in the High School, Languages are a core component of all students’ study programs to at least Year 10.

This full time temporary position calls for a dynamic and enthusiastic French Teacher, whose role will focus on Primary School classes.

The position is a fixed term contract for Terms 3 and 4 2018, replacing a staff member on leave.

Essential Skills

IGS is seeking a passionate teacher with strong communication skills who has considerable experience in teaching Primary-aged children.

The successful applicant will be fluent in French and have a strong understanding of French culture. They will have an ability to work with others on collaborative projects and show initiative with their programs and lessons. They will have well developed competencies in ICT.

A thorough understanding of the NSW curriculum is essential to this role.

Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA (formerly BOSTES). Please ensure that your application includes details of both your WWC check and NESA accreditation.
