About the role
International Grammar School is a leader in educational innovation. We are a school of more than 1,200 students with a vibrant multi-building campus that will continue to expand in coming years. English and Drama are cornerstones of an IGS education. Our large and vibrant English faculty is a leader in innovative approaches to teaching. All IGS students undertake Drama within our academic program from Year 7, and many also experience it through our extensive co-curricular options.
This role is for an experienced and enthusiastic English and Drama Teacher to join our team as soon as possible. The position will have a majority English teaching load but will include Drama classes. Applicants should be suitably qualified across both disciplines.
About the successful applicant
This role calls for a dynamic and vibrant educator with a passion for teaching. They will have expertise across both English and Drama. Past experience in teaching to Stage 6 in both subject areas is desirable.
A capacity to engage and inspire students is a crucial trait of all IGS teachers, as is the ability to work with colleagues to create outstanding learning opportunities for our students.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the NSW Curriculum. Well-developed ICT skills and a demonstrated capacity to use technologies in teaching are critical for this role.
Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA (formerly BoSTES). Please ensure that your application includes details of both your WWCC clearance and NESA accreditation.
