Year 2 Japanese class explores the human body

Year 2 Japanese students enjoyed learning about the human body and its organs through a series of games and songs during Term 2.

IGS Languages Teacher Machiko Sensei engaged her students through a variety of games, songs and stories.

For example, students were fascinated to learn key words associated with how the lungs function and to see how they appear.

“While some of them hesitated to look at the pictures, and others were fascinated by the alveoli, and commented that they look like balloons,” Machiko Sensei said.

“To conclude our learning about lungs, students participated in a craft activity to create lungs. They enjoyed breathing into straws to inflate their balloons. The students loved the activity.”
