Year 11 Geography explore biophysical interactions

Year 11 Geography recently enjoyed an excursion along the Bondi to Coogee walk, where they learned about biophysical interactions.

“The students went to each beach along the Bondi to Coogee walk to analyse and compare the wind, waves, sand, human impacts and the flora and fauna around,” Assistant Head of Humanities Danielle Wong said.

Students are focusing on a geographical investigation of biophysical processes and how an understanding of these processes contributes to sustainable management.

“Students are also looking at the interactions between, and the human impacts on, the functioning of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere.”
