Warm hearts for Cancer Council fundraiser

A chilly start to the day didn't stop Year 6 and their cake stall customers from rallying to support the Cancer Council.

Their fundraiser was perfectly timed to coincide with the IGS Parents, Teachers and Friends (PTF) Rue Kelly secondhand sale.

Trading was brisk, and the students were glad to be contributing to a worthwhile cause.

“We are selling things to donate to breast cancer research,” said Andrew. “It’s important to find a cure.”

“I think it’s great that we are doing this, to help people who need it,” said Remy.

The students raised $1,148.70, which is going to be matched by a generous donor. Congratulations to all involved.
