Together Apart with Food

"As with many annual events this year, our wonderful International Day was not able to take place. International Day is a highlight on the IGS calendar and is much loved by students and families," said IGS Director of Languages Rosalba Genua-Petrović.

To help keep the tradition of International Day alive even this year IGS Director of Languages Rosalba is delighted to share an exciting initiative by the PTF.

“Under the theme of Together Apart with Food, parents and students will be invited to share their favourite recipes with the whole IGS community,” Rosalba said.

“What dishes have brought you comfort in this year of restrictions and change? It may have been a traditional cultural dish or food from your childhood or prepared for you by a special person.

“We’d love to know and learn to cook the same dish.

“Food has always been a means of bringing people together and this initiative aims to do just that.”

Families will be invited to send in the recipe and any accompanying story you may have that goes with the dish. Don’t forget to include a photo!

All recipes and photos will then be shared with the IGS community so we can all partake in the joy of your favourite dish.
