The IGS Class of 2020 prepares for the future

IGS students English Standard students took a literary tour through Sydney's CBD as they prepared for their year ahead.

Meeting at the Museum of Contemporary Art, they reflected on their aspirations for 2020, and explored the 60 plaques of the Writers Walk, making their way to the Art Gallery of NSW for further insight.

On Thursday Dr Felicity Plunkett joined Year 12 English Advanced students at Chippendale’s Boston University, where she examined several different texts and ran through editing techniques that will assist them in their own creative writing.

Dr Plunkett noted how amazing the students were at working fast and under pressure.

“You’re going to be in an exam situation sooner than you know it. You are going to have to react to things really quickly, and you are showing that creative flexibility really impressively.”
