“We like to give our students as many opportunities as we can every single day, so every child can find their gift, their people and the things they love to do,” Ms Colnan said.
Ms Colnan described the culture at IGS as “expansive”, one in which staff bring in fresh ideas.
“We want to say ‘yes’, and sure enough, an army of parents turn up and help make these extra opportunities happen.”
By way of example, she mentioned the creative 2019 Music concerts, including the Who Let the Dogs Out? event, to which participants brought their dogs, and the Big Sing In Play In concert, with audience participation.
“At IGS, there are no really rigid lines between parents and teachers and students.
“We really want to thank you for everything that you give to our School.”
The Year 3 Quintet played beautiful music for guests, and Year 12 Leaders welcomed parents with big smiles.
We are grateful to all of those members of the community who go above and beyond to make our School such a great place!
