Teamwork on the court and field

IGS sporting stars continue to shine, with noteworthy achievements across the board.

In netball news, our senior Primary School girls proved their skills on the court at the recent All Suburbs Independent School Sport Association (ASISSA) netball trials.

A dozen energetic and determined Year 6 girls represented IGS in attending the trials, each playing extremely well and supporting each other throughout the day.

Congratulations to Emma McArdle and Amelia Whitaker who were selected into the ASISSA team, and will compete at the upcoming Combined Independent Schools Netball gala day in May.

Students from Years 5 and 6 recently competed in the AFL Paul Kelly Cup at Picken Oval, Ashbury.

The group of 14 boys competed in three tough and testing games against other Sydney-based schools, continuing to build on their AFL skills they have been refining during their Tuesday morning trainings.

We wish them well as they continue to prepare for future competitions.
