“Congratulations to Harry the Dog and family who raised a whopping $1,630 as our top fundraiser,” said student Nathan Turner.
“HalfCut21 to date has raised $964,293 and because of the efforts of us and so many others we’ve protected not only lots 110, 21, 505 and 213 but an additional 160,108 hectares of land was handed back to the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Peoples as Traditional Custodians of the Daintree. What an amazing effort!.”
The IGS Sustainable Futures are still fundraising to save lot 18.
“So to keep you boosted, and give you a laugh and just some wholesome content for your day, grab a coffee, have a sit down and enjoy our HalfCut 2021 video.”
We wish to thank everyone who has supported IGS Sustainable Futures and special thanks to Nathan, Sustainability Portfolio Leaders Euan Thomas (2020 and 2021) and Harriet Ryder (2021 and 2022) and Head of Sustainability Carmelo Fedele and Humanities Teacher and IGS legend Paul Galea.
