STEAM space encourages creativity

The highly anticipated Makerspace was opened this week by Primary Library Leaders, Lauren and Charles of Year 6.

Students are encouraged to use the area in the Primary School Library during lunchtime, to design, make, share, learn and explore.

The Makerspace incorporates electronic and coding materials such as littleBits, CodeBug and Circuit Clay Kits, as well as a wide range of art and craft materials.

Students will be able to engage in increasingly complex, self-directed design projects and activities, integrating the skills of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).

Innovation and creativity will be encouraged and celebrated in the Makerspace. Watch this space for our inaugural exciting designs!
