Sartor siblings win gold at Surf Life Saving Championship

Congratulations to siblings, William of Year 7 and Isabella of Year 5 who both won gold representing their respective teams at the State Nippers Surf Life Saving Championship.

Both William and Isabella are members of the Nippers Program at the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club which they attend every Sunday morning over the summer months.

Recently, they attended the Championship event at Blacksmith’s Beach, Belmont among 6,000 other competitors from all over NSW.

Isabella ran in the Under 10s sand relay team and won gold, easily beating the opposition.

William participated in the All Age sand relay final involving each Club’s best sprinters in the six age groups from Under 9s to Under 14s.

Will ran the fourth leg, contributing greatly to his team’s lead. In a thrilling race, North Bondi won the final leg by less than a metre, bringing home the gold in the feature event of the day.

What a great achievement for the family!
