Right royal surprise

Keep an eye on ABC TV’s coverage of the Royal Wedding on Saturday 19 May from 7.30pm and you might see someone from International Grammar School!

More than a dozen IGS High School students were vox popped recently by ABC TV producer Carmen Pratap on their views about the Monarchy, Prince Harry and bride-to-be Meghan Markle.

Questions included whether they would like Prince Harry as a friend, what the Queen does for Australia, what would be an ideal wedding gift, and whether Meghan should give up her career to marry Harry.

Students were even asked what they would do were they to be made King or Queen.

Interviews were conducted in our library late last term.

In keeping with our motto, Unity Through Diversity, students expressed a wide variety of opinions.

We congratulate Albee, Sophie, Talulla, Tobia, Henry, Madison, Kaija, Max, Joe, Alex, Jamison, Meg and Parker for stepping up to have their say.
