Reduce your plastic by sharing pictures

This year’s International Day theme The Global Environment has encouraged the IGS community to consider how different countries around the world are dealing with environmental issues, sustainability and protecting the environment for future generations.

Inspired by a recent article from The Guardian, Families around the world join war on plastic – in pictures, IGS invites families of the School to share their own “plastic in pictures”.

The article explores photos shared from families around the world, showing their typical household plastic use over one week.

IGS would like to share the school community’s household plastic photos at our upcoming International Day, Friday 3 August.

To get involved, please take a photo of your household’s plastic use over a few days and send the photo to oliviaa@igssyd.nsw.edu.au by Wednesday 1 August.

In this way and others, the IGS community can work together to reduce throwaway packaging items and share alternative initiatives for minimising our impact on the environment.
