Recycle it Saturday

IGS Head of Sustainability Carmelo Fedele is encouraging the community to participate in Recycle It Saturday on 19 June.

The City of Sydney are hosting a free recycling drop-off for clothes, electronics, polystyrene and more between 9am and 3pm on Saturday 19 June at Alexandra Canal Depot.

Recycle It Saturday is a free quarterly drop-off where City of Sydney residents can bring clothes, electronics, batteries, polystyrene, soft plastics, x-rays, gas bottles and more for recycling.

Clothes and toys are donated to The Salvation Army. Everything else is broken down and recycled into new items.
Light bulbs are crushed and the glass wool can become home insulation.

This recycling drop-off is contactless. Separate your items before you arrive and pack them in your boot or backseat. At the drop-off, stay in your vehicle and council staff unpack the items for you. People walking or riding can access a drop-off area away from cars.
