Students were required to answer 15 questions based on computational thinking.
IGS Primary Digital Innovator David Smith said students worked together in practice sessions before taking their skills to a live challenge.
The goal of the challenge is to promote Computational Thinking in a way that highlights student ability beyond Science or Maths skills.
“The students worked extremely well in small groups completing the set challenge,” David said.
“The discussions generated in trying to solve each problem was inspirational to witness as an educator. The children expressed how much fun they had in completing the challenge.”
David congratulated all students on achieving excellent results.
One team from both Year 4 and Year 5 received a High Distinction.
Congratulations to Year 4 team consisting of James, Matteo, Christian and William.
Congratulations to Year 5 team Max, Toby, Charlton and Charley.
David said students are really looking forward to taking on the 2021 challenge!
