Primary School students had a great day out at the recent IGS Athletics Carnival, competing in a large variety of events.

IGS congratulates all who participated, the Age Champions, record breakers and to Gura House for winning this year’s Carnival.

Age Champions:

  • 7 to 8 years: Nicholas Klug and Chenelle Carr
  • 9 years: Marli Wright and Chloee Schaller
  • 10 years: Jakub Belunek and Emilia Williams
  • 11 years: Zachary Thai and Zahra Laurans-Wall
  • 12 years: Mitchell Landon and Jackson Wybrow (joint winners) and Amelia Whitaker

All Age Champions will be presented with their medallions in the Week 7 assembly, which parents are invited to attend.

In further Primary Sports news, Years 5 and 6 students recently competed in a Milo T20 Cricket Gala Day with encouraging results.

The boys’ team placed 5th among 16 teams and the girls placed 4th among 10 teams. We congratulate all participants for their good sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Amelia Whitaker and Zoe Hamper who also attended the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Cricket trials.
