IGS Maths Teacher Jessica Saggers was due to be married on 11 April, but with the impacts of COVID-19, her plans for a big wedding had to be changed.
Jessica and her husband opted for a small backyard wedding with their celebrant, witnesses, and their Labradoodle puppy Ruby.
“Ruby was very excited about the whole day. She welcomed our guests (the whole two of them due to COVID-19), she walked me down the ‘aisle’ and she was the unofficial cake tester,” Jessica said.
“Ruby is still a pup so we didn’t quite trust her to be the ring bearer, I also think she wouldn’t have swapped her toy for a jewellery box anyway.
“We were so glad we got to celebrate with her. Our original ceremony was going to be in a park anyway so we were always looking for a way to have her there.”
Congratulations from all of us at IGS!
