“I have been working at IGS for 28 years and have always been passionate about fostering community in our School,” said Mr Galea, whose new role will begin in 2022.
“It is for that reason that I am really looking forward to starting this next chapter in my IGS journey,” Paul said.
“I hope to build on the great work done by my predecessor, Julia Glass, in building strong connections with our ex-students and staff.
“In my new role I want to forge very strong connections with our alumni, to make sure they know that they are, and always will be, an important part of the IGS community and story.
“I am also hoping to tap into our alumni as an invaluable resource. Their experiences, trials, tribulations and successes can be an extremely effective inspiration and learning tool for our present day students.
“Besides reaching out to them through social media, I will be trying to organise happenings and events that will excite them. We want our alumni to have the same vibrancy, authenticity and connectedness in their post-school years as they hopefully had when they were at IGS. Stay tuned!”
