On Monday 8 June, the Federal Government announced their plan to roll back the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package. The Relief Package, originally scheduled to end on 28 June, has been extended until 12 July 2020.
This affects the cost of attendance at the IGS After School and Vacation Care programs for Primary students (Kindergarten to Year 6) and results in free care up to and including Friday 10 July 2020. After this time, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) will return for those families eligible.
For After School Care (OOSH), normal session rates at $21 will again apply from Monday 13 July 2020 onwards and $33 for casual bookings.
For Vacation Care, the normal daily rate of $70 per session will resume on Monday 13 July 2020.
You can find more information about eligibility for CCS on the Services Australia website.
Confirmation of After School and Vacation Care Bookings (Semester 2 2020)
It is a requirement to confirm your bookings into After Care for Terms 3 and 4 as well as for the upcoming Vacation Care period so numbers can be firmed up. This needs to be done by Friday 19 June via this link to the Engage Portal.
A note about Vacation Care (Kindergarten to Year 6)
The Kindergarten to Year 6 Vacation Care program will run from Monday 29 June to Monday 20 July (from 8am to 6pm). School recommences for Term 3 on Tuesday 21 July.
All students must enter the school and be signed in and out with Vacation Care staff in the Imaginarium (entry via Bay Street). Children will then be accompanied by a staff member to the Global Learning Centre. No parents or caregivers are to enter the school via the main gate during the holiday period as per the current school term protocol.
All children must bring recess, a packed lunch (unless lunch is provided), drinks, raincoat and a hat every day. Afternoon tea will be provided. A late fee of $5 per minute will apply if your child is collected after 6pm.
No refunds will be issued once a booking is made unless five working days written notice or a doctor’s certificate is provided for the relevant days.
