National Science Week

National Science Week is being celebrated at IGS next week.

In addition to a range of exciting High School challenges and competitions, Early Learning will also participate in this year’s Science Week.

This year’s theme in Early Learning is ‘deep Blue: Innovation for the future of our oceans’.

Students should check Canvas to see how to engage in a program of exciting challenges, including the Spaghetti Challenge, a barbie parachute drop, see virtual guest speakers in the  Bibliothèque and a movie session.

Students wishing to explore their creativity are encouraged to enter the competitions below:

Ocean Calm Photo Competition:
Students entering this competition are required to submit photos of the ocean. The winner will be published on the School website, InFocus and on social media.

The Get Published Essay Competition:
Students will be required to write 800 words on Big Ideas – Saving the Planet. The winning essay will be published on the School website, InFocus and on social media.

The best student video on why they love science will be shared on our website, InFocus and social media.
