Living and breathing Shakespeare

Year 7 have thrown themselves into Shakespeare Bootcamp as part of International Grammar School's SAGE Week.

Students have read, learnt, discussed in detail and taken on roles from some of Shakespeare’s most famous works, ready to present to parents through creative song, dance and recitations.

SAGE, unique to International Grammar School, stands for

  • Student choice

  • Authentic learning experiences

  • Global relevance

  • Exhibitions and celebrations of learning

Layla said she had not known much about Shakespeare until the week began. “Shakespeare is very exciting,” she said. “I’ve learnt a lot.”

Sophie and India said working together had been fun.

Meanwhile, Year 8 spent the week on The Rocks Quest, Year 9 prepared their own operas during Opera on Kelly, and Year 10 have been in Tasmania, Writing the Island.
