Learning tools for life

Our young learners have been enjoying drama workshops aimed at encouraging social and emotional learning.

Students in Kindergarten to Year 2 began their six-week drama incursion program in the new IGS Imaginarium, using puppets, props, movement, audio and visualisation techniques to enable their awareness of themselves and others, along with skills in reflection and mindfulness.

In each workshop, students become animal characters within story sequences. Stories play a vital role in the growth and development of children.

The program is lead by The Drama Toolbox, a regular visitor to IGS.
