IGS SchoolTV supports parents

IGS has added SchoolTV to our wellbeing resources.

“As we work together to raise resilient children, this platform is aimed at providing clear guidance and support strategies for parents and carers on a number of contemporary issues,” said Deputy Principal Students and Campus Life Mary Duma.

“Content will be updated each month, and links can be found on the IGS Parent Lounge Wellbeing Hub, along with occasional updates in the HeadsUp and Spotlight newsletters.

Every month a wellbeing issue pertinent to school-aged children will be shared with IGS parents and carers.

This month’s topic is parenting styles and I encourage you to participate in this month’s quiz to reflect on matters that have been raised by parents across Australia.

The SchoolTV videos are hosted by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, one of Australia’s highest profile psychologists, author of 14 books, broadcaster and a specialist in corporate mental health, families, parenting, children, adolescents and the use of technology for mental health.

IGS parents and carers with particular concerns about the wellbeing of their children may contact the IGS Wellbeing team for further information or seek medical or professional help.
