Launch of Principal’s Reading Challenge and holiday borrowing

The Principal's Reading Challenge will launch next week ahead of the holidays.

The challenge is designed to expose students of all ages to a variety of authors and genres and provide enrichment tailored to their  specific needs and interests.

Bibliothèque teacher librarians are working closely with classroom teachers to identify reading goals for each student, to ensure the challenge is appropriate to the learning goals of each individual, encouraging them to aim for a “personal best” response.

With the upcoming launch of the Principal’s Reading Challenge and the holidays fast approaching, students are reminded to return all library books currently on loan to ensure that they are able to borrow for the holidays.

To get students on their way with the challenge, borrowing limits will be extended for the holiday period. Students from Kindergarten to Year 2 will be permitted to borrow up to four books, while students from Year 3 and above will have unlimited borrowing.

the more you know.
The more you know,
the smarter you grow.
The smarter you grow,
the stronger your voice,
when speaking your mind
or making a choice.”
