Juggling some new skills

Students in Years 9 and 10 studying Physical Activities and Sports Studies (PASS) explored skill acquisition when they learned to juggle during a recent class.

“They were learning how people learn new skills,” said Assistant Head of Sport and Outdoor Education Lyndon Kleeman.

“One group looked at YouTube videos of people juggling before trying it themselves, while the other group experimented by themselves.”

Interestingly, the group who had not watched YouTube did better, but the results might not have been statistically significant.
