During class this week, the students learned about their body parts in Japanese.
Japanese Teacher Machiko Sensei said they also acknowledged the National Reconciliation Week and incorporated this into their lessons.
The class welcomed IGS Indigenous students Armani, Chenelle and Janna to teach the students body parts in Wiradjuri.
“The students repeated words for body parts and played ‘Simon Says’,” Machiko Sensei said.
“To conclude this special session, the students enjoyed having a small concert, singing ‘balang ganha bungangbu burrami’ together. The students requested to sing “あたま かた ひざ あし” in Japanese at the end as well.
