It’s a wide, wide world

Primary School Language classes have delved into exploring other cultures, festivals and history this term.

In Year 5, students of Italian have been learning about Japan by discussing with their classmate’s Japanese festivals, the geography of Japan and how to eat correctly when in Japan.

In Year 6 Italian, students delved into the history of Gli Antichi Romani (the ancient Romans).

“Here they are focusing on the Punic Wars,” said IGS Italian Teacher Nicola Sternberg.

“The students have created board games and playing them while speaking Italian.”
