Innovation Meets Imagination

The recent Art and Design HSC Showcase brought teachers, students and families together for an evening that highlighted the breadth of creative thinking across the cohort. Works ranged from sustainable concepts for life jackets to fine art painting to contemporary textile pieces – each shaped by personal experiences and observations of the wider world. Students created works of art featuring their families, explored mediums like tufting and created devices to improve the lives of people living with additional needs.

Held in the Renaissance Centre, the event offered families and prospective families a chance to explore the full collection of Major Works. The diversity of themes and the intent behind them reflected a group of students who care deeply about using art and design as a force for change.

Supported by a dedicated team of teachers, the works stood as a testament to months of skill, reflection and refinement. The showcase became a thoughtful celebration of creativity and the many ways students interpret and shape the world around them.
