In the bag

Year 7 students have new skills all sewn up.

Year 7 students are finalising their own sustainable, reusable bags, created in their Design and Technology projects.

“During the last term Year 7 students have learnt how to use the Design Process to design, evaluate and make their own customised tote bag,” said Design and Technology Teacher Mark Devine.

“They have been working amazingly. Along the way everyone has learnt all the components of the sewing machines including how to thread the machines and wind bobbins.”

The design process includes multiple steps, including defining the problem, collecting information, brainstorming and analysing ideas, developing solutions, gathering feedback and improving by clarifying and defining the preferred solution.
