IGS artworks benefit The Children’s Hospital

IGS teacher Nancy Gagliano and her Year 2 Blue 2019 class raised $1,000 for The Children's Hospital at Westmead last year.

After visiting an unwell child, the IGS Year 2 teacher became determined to help in any way she could.

“One of my personal goals for 2019 was to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead,” Nancy said.

During 2019, Nancy asked her students to create various artworks, which the students’ families then purchased.

“I explained to the children what we were going to do and had a discussion about it,” she said.

“They all thought it was a great idea because ‘not all children are as lucky as we are.'”

During the school holidays, Nancy was delighted to deliver the cheque to the hospital. IGS thanks all families involved.
