Students, parents and teachers came together playing on recycled materials, clapping, pots and pans, glasses, lunch boxes, spoons, percussion instruments and had a fantastic time playing the Samba.
John Morrison wrote his own Samba piece for the IGS especially for the event. It was a fantastic time for everyone and we explored so many South American rhythms.
John Morrison will visit IGS in Term 3 to spend some more time with Senior Music Students on the Samba as the event was so well received.
Thank you to all those parents and friends who enthusiastically responded to the event.
“Making music together is one of the reasons that IGS is so special and our ability to embrace diversity and everyone coming together,” said IGS Head of Music Performance Sarah Butler.
