IGS alumna recognised at HSC showcase Texstyle

IGS congratulates alumna Isabella Robitschko (2019) who was recognised at the Texstyle Presentation Evening last night for her HSC major project "Nordic".

When creating her work Isabella took inspiration from the modern and simplistic architecture of Copenhagen, in particular the Black Diamond Building.

She translated the sophistication and structure of that building into a fashionable floor length dress made of duchess satin with a black trim and self-made binding.

Isabella’s teacher Ksenijia Doic attended the HSC showcase presentation opening.

“I feel super proud,” Ksenija said. “It’s like you watch them grow and you’re amazed. When I saw her last night, I remembered her excitement in Year 7. She never lost it. It was very emotional and very beautiful.”

When asked about the qualities she believed transformed into success for her student Ms Doic said Isabella would outwork everyone in the room, ask for help any time she needed it and would take feedback as a professional not personally. She understood that every project had its ups and downs and she flowed with that.

We wish Isabella all the best as she continues the first year of her fashion degree at Whitehouse Institute of Design.
