IGS adds a new Acknowledgement of Country email signature for staff

In collaboration with Head of Indigenous Education Jade Carr and Head of Indigenous Partnerships Lucy Shibuya-Howard and in consultation with IGS parents Tim Bishop and Kristy Masella, IGS has created an Acknowledgement of Country email signature for staff to use.

In 2021, Indigenous students across Primary and High School pooled their artistic talents to create an Acknowledgement of Country poster with the help of local Aboriginal artist Bianca Caldwell who runs Wiradjuri Dreaming. This poster was to be displayed in all classrooms.

With the aim of adding continuity throughout the workplace, Head of Indigenous Studies Jade Carr suggested this artwork be used to also create an Acknowledgement of Country email signature for staff use.

“Looking forward to all staff having the chance to have an IGS email signature with this beautiful acknowledgement!” said Head of Indigenous Partnerships Lucy Shibuya-Howard.
