History Extension attend virtual lecture

The Year 12 History Extension class recently attended a virtual excursion run by the State Library and Sydney Living Museums.

Students attended the virtual lecture led by historian Stephen Gapps, who specialises in the early conflict between indigenous Australians and Europeans.

He spoke to students about the process of researching and writing history.

Students also engaged in a panel discussion led by experienced teachers, including IGS Historian in Residence Dr Bruce Dennett.

To end the day, students participated in a Q & A session with high-achieving past students.
