IGS Parents, Teachers and Friends (PTF) volunteers, staff and Year 7 student helpers transformed the Hall into a magical circus tent for the recent Primary School Disco, filling the space with colour, music, bubbles, balloons, glitter and face-paint.
The School would like to thank the efforts and commitments of the PTF and parent volunteers, as well as the staff and High School student volunteers who made the event so memorable.
In related news, students in Years 1 and 2 learning German graced the stage, treating the assembly audience to a “German robot” performance.
Meanwhile, Primary students recently wrapped up their Drama Toolbox program, in which they’ve learnt vital skills for social and emotional development.
In the new IGS Imaginarium, puppets, props, movement, audio and visualisation techniques were incorporated into the lessons, encouraging students to embrace self-reflection and mindfulness techniques.
