The festival is used as an occasion for young girls’ growth and happiness, with girls of most families displaying dolls called Hinamatsuri-ningyo.
Students in Preschool Gold donned their traditional Japanese clothing and enjoyed the event together with real Hina-Ningyo and a delicious fruit salad.
Japanese teacher Yasuyo Kawashima decorated tables with pretend sushi rolls and lollies to make the event more memorable for the children.
To wrap up a perfect day, students received a little gift box with stickers and a letter from the ELC team.
