The challenges of singing in diverse languages, finding the right key and sharing a tempo failed to prevent our tiny, isolated performers from singing out together.
Drawing inspiration from the Orff Schulwerk Collaborative Project 2021, in Term 3, IGS Early Learning Music Teacher Amelia Scarf recreated a similar idea within our own Early Learning community.
“To bring this idea to life, we received many recordings of children and staff singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” said Head of Early Learning Sarah Herbert.
“In true IGS style, the children’s nursery rhyme submissions were in multiple languages.”
